Let me introduce our family:
My name is Charlotte, and I’m married to my handsome best friend, Jordan. We have four beautiful children between the ages of three and five. In the beautiful, messy way He loves to bless us, God brought all four kids into our family in under three years, through foster care, adoption, and biologically.
The past few years have been a whirlwind, all at once intensely beautiful and incredibly difficult. We have reached the end of ourselves, and then felt the fresh air on our faces as God began to pull us out of the depths into new life. We are grateful.
As a family, nothing brings us closer than adventuring together! There is nothing easy about traveling with small children, but there is everything wonderful about it. We grow richer with each experience, and always come home asking, “Where to next?”
As for me, I have been writing since I was a child. I read the poetry of Anne Bradstreet and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I wanted to be a writer. Through all the other grandiose dreams that have come and gone over the years, this one has stayed constant. In words, I find life.
On the practical side, I am a stay-at-home-mom and Jordan is a HERO–quite literally. He is a pediatric Emergency Room nurse at a children’s hospital. Which means, he pours out his life into caring for hurting children at work, and then pours out his life into raising our children at home. He is a man of more character than any I have known.
So this is our life. I dream big dreams and say “Someday…”. Jordan considers those dreams and says, “Why not today?” And so together, we choose to make this Day One.
Friend, you are most welcome to join us on this journey!
